Pregnancy after uterine surgery carries a small but real risk of rupture, particularly during labor. Recognizing risk early changes how we monitor and plan delivery.
Higher-risk situations include myomectomies that entered the cavity, multiple or large fibroids, classical cesarean, and short interval to next pregnancy.
Pre-pregnancy counseling, careful imaging review, planned delivery in a hospital with surgical capability, and a clear birth plan agreed in advance.
